How To Play Lossless Music In Windows Media Center
I’ve been slowly over the weeks re-importing my CDs to MediaMonkey in the lossless FLAC format as I now have tonnes of hard disk space to accomodate the better sounding, but larger music files. However, being able to play my music in Windows Media Center proved tricky until I found this great guide on the […] Related posts:

Grimm: Some probs with new PC (General Computing)
Hi all ,
A week ago , i received a new pc from a friend , and im still making him ready , but some things just doesn't seem to want to work .. Ive formatted the main disk , installed Windows XP Home with SP3.
The first problem is the sound , I got this onboard sound chip i don't use , because i also got an Creative audigy 2ZS audio (DF00) card , i got the right drivers loaded , windows is set for using this device to play the sound , everything is unmuted etc, but i have nothing . No system sounds or songs .
Second , there is something wrong with a second harddisk i wanted to add from my old pc .
On the C: disk , i put a jumper on the pins where it said : Master ( when slave present ) . The other disk is auto on slave without a jumper . Tried it , nope . After some searching ive found windows saying somewhere that most pc's only can have 4 SCII(?) stuff attached , and as i have 2 dvd-players , floppy , 1 HDD . I thought it was because i had one device to many . Unplugged one of the Dvd players . As im rebooting , before the windows load screen apears i get this message : Grub loading please wait . Cannot load GRUB 1.5 , Error 17 . And he freezes , i had to put the dvd player in again to let him startup . Now windows does find that there is another HDD , but the acces to it is denied ( The disk appears in my computer with a red question mark on it . )Ive tried detatching the floppy for the HDD ,now i can startup but i still have the question mark.Could this problem be because there is still a version of windows XP installed on the HDD i want to add ? :s
Third : I wanted to connect my Creative ZEN mp3 player to the machine . Installed the drivers using the CD that came with it . The installation went good . But now if i connect it , the Zen media explorer says there is no device connected to the pc , i can't find the mp3 in my computer .. Every time i connect him the Add new hardware wizzard shows up ,and he finds the file on my computer , but everytime it gives the error : Filename , directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect . I can find the ZEN in my system under MTP devices , but there is a yellow ! mark on it ..
Anyone that can help me? Please hold in mind that i can't acces internet from my home where the pc is , i can only check the net while im on my work .

Some argue that much of the UFC’s recent success in the past 4 years can be attributed to their SpikeTV reality television show, “The Ultimate Fighter”. Radio Shack Offers Cash For Old Gear

Recycling used electronics is pretty important – arguably more important than recycling paper and plastic. E-waste is loaded with toxic heavy metals such as mercury and cadmium. Such chemicals are bad for the environment, but worse for the impoverished citizens of developing countries who all too often need to earn their living by crudely mining valuable metals out of our discarded computers, TVs and cell phones.
It’s a good thing, then, that Radio Shack is offering some decent incentives to recycle your old iPod. They are starting a program which allows customers to register their obsolete gadgets and ship them (pre-paid, of course) to a collecting location, where they make sure your item is in the condition you said it was. If so, you get a Radio Shack gift certificate (hey, I never said there was nothing in it for them). You can appraise your item online.
Radio Shack is certainly not the first to come up with this recycling model; others are doing very similar things. And seeing as getting a bit of cash for an old cell phone makes so much more sense than throwing it into a bin with banana peels and coffee filters, this ecogeek is optimistic about e-recycling becoming the norm.
